New Year's Eve at Nottingham Castle
The grounds of Nottingham Castle will play host to live music and entertainment. There will be a bar and food and drinks stalls serving inside the grounds. A spectacular fireworks display from the Castle Green at midnight will be the perfect finale to see in the New Year.

Entry to the event is FREE from 8pm. Turn up at the Castle gates on the night - first come first served.

The Children's Fireworks display starts at 9:15pm and will be choreographed to a Disney themed musical soundtrack and is designed for a younger audience within the Castle grounds.

The Main display will take place from midnight to approx 00.10am and will feature a New Year's Eve themed soundtrack along with popular chart hits, and other special effects. It will be visible in the grounds and surrounding area and from vantage points across the City.

 Friar Lane and Castle Road will be closed to vehicles to facilitate public viewing of the Main display from these areas.

The Bandstand will feature music from 8pm to 11.50pm (approx) with some great performances by:
Wholesome Fish: 8pm - 9.15pm performing Global-Pop-Punk-Folk-Funk-Funsters,
Tristram Shandy: 9:40pm - 11.50pm Performing 60s & 70s music, A Vocal harmony, guitar based band they are well capable of reproducing iconic songs, from pop to disco,pop/rock and rock 'n 'roll/rocka'billy from the 50s & 60s onwards.
 

The Gatehouse area will feature Fire Jugglers/performers who will provide incidental activities 8pm onwards and the Rockery will be illuminated with coloured lights to add to the experience.
Those unable to attend this event will  be able to enjoy the spectacular fireworks display at midnight which will be visible across the city.

Please note that capacity is very limited for this event and once the grounds are full, visitors will be admitted on a one out / one in basis and the times of the children's display and performances may change.
