We are always looking to increase the biodiversity on The Park. You will no doubt of noticed the wildflower meadows on Newcastle Terrace and next to the Park Tennis courts, which we are continually trying to improve.
This year we have decided to take part in Plantlife’s annual ‘No Mow May’ campaign. So, from the 1st of May the landscape team will stop mowing some of the lawned areas to let the wildflowers bloom, providing a feast of nectar for hungry pollinators. The team will cut around the edge of the designated areas and install small signs to highlight why they aren’t being mown. The areas will be sections of the Circuses and one side of Duke William Mount along with the grass next to the existing wildflower areas.
